The Descendants of
John Vibber Sr. & Johanna Williams
The first record of John Vibber Sr. appears in Groton, Connecticut. He soon moved across the river to the North Parish of New London. The North Parish later became the town of Montville. There he met and married Johanna Williams. John eventually became one of the largest landowners in the area. He was very active in both church and town affairs. This genealogy tells about this interesting and important early New England family. All of the material from Baker’s History of Montville on this family is included. Corrections based on new research are made. In addition, the female lines are followed and extensive biographical material is added. Some branches are carried down to the ninth generation which includes people born in the 1940’s. Detailed source references are given, often to primary records. There are indexes of people and places. The book is bound in soft-cover and is printed on acid-free paper. The book contains 181 pages. |
